The technical coaching team

All coaches at Flaine Tennis have passed a state degree and have been teaching for several years. They are all ATP/WTA touring coaches (1st or 2nd series).

Jean-Laurent PAULIN has been teaching tennis for 25 years. He is also the manager of the « Flaine Tennis Camp ».

He has passed a « Professorat de Tennis-Brevet d’Etat, 2e deg. » degree (an accreditation to supervise high level tuition).

He has been a trainer for the French Tennis Federation on a Regional level and has trained some of the best players (the likes of Paul-Henri Mathieu) ; he is in charge of the technical management (from start to advanced sessions) and has managed sessions in France and abroad (in Birmingham – England ; in Marrakech – Morocco ; in Germany, Spain, Australia…).

As a player, he has been listed « second série » (a rank close to the professionals) for about ten years and still is (he is ranked "15/2 in 2011". He is assisted by state degree teachers and federal initiators..

Daily life is supervised (24h/24h for boarders) by qualified coaches.

A professional nurse takes care of all medical complications.

The « résidence ‘La Forêt’ » is situated in the highest part of Flaine, quite surrounded by fir-trees : « Flaine Forêt ».
This hotel has been completely renovated and offers spacy and comfortable places to live in. Certain flats are south-orientated, with a balcony.
The decoration is modern and cosy, and the reception welcomes you in a friendly atmosphere.

This residence is very well situated, close to the shops and services, etc.

Apart from intensive tennis practice, Flaine Tennis camp’s students should not leave Flaine without :

Have a look & admire the big statues by Picasso and Dubuffet,

Go & listen to a classical music concert by young musicians at the auditorium

Enjoy a picnic by the tennis courts.

The « French Tennis Camp » sessions take place in the French Alps (‘a mile high’). The weather can therefore interfere greatly : we may be brought to modify our program at any moment. We will do our best, nevertheless, to ensure that the students enjoy as much practice time as possible.

In case of long-lasting rain :

• We can use a covered court down in the valley (this never happened in the last 8 years).
• Our courts are « synthetic grass », which makes it possible to play under the rain without any major risk of accident.
• Rain often comes along with a storm and doesn’t last long.
• The weather is often very good in the Mont Blanc area : storms rather happen at the end of the afternoon.
• When it is very hot in the valley, il is much cooler at Flaine.
